e-Form RS Administrator

Only your e-Form RS Administrators can add, modify, or delete user IDs in your account. Administrators can also import your current year or prior year e-Form CD client profile information into your e-Form RS client database.

The initial login to e-Form RS for an account must use the user name ADMINISTRATOR, with the case-sensitive password which was included in the initial setup e-mail notification. This user automatically receives administrator rights, but does not count as a user toward your licensed user count. The administrator should create user logins for each user.

When a user has logged in with administrator rights, the menu items for e-Form RS Administrator and Import Client Information appear. For users without administrator rights, these two menu items are hidden.

Import Client Info

Users with administrator rights can import e-Form CD client profile information into the e-Form RS client database. Only information from the client profile is imported. Saved forms or form lists can not be imported. Import should be run on a workstation that has current year or prior year e-Form installed and running. Import only the most recent CD database(s) to avoid duplicate client profile records.

To import client profile information:

  1. Login with administrator rights.
  2. Click Import Client Information.
  3. Enter the path and file name of your client database (ECYY.MDB) in the field. This can be a local directory, a mapped network drive, or a network UNC path (YY = 01 or 02 in the database name).
  4. Click Import Client Information to start the process.
  5. Profiles transfer in blocks of 100 records. Depending on the size of your client database and connection speed, it may take several minutes to complete. The status appears in the banner across the screen.
  6. When import is complete, click OK to close the popup dialog box.
  7. Multiple databases can be imported to one account by repeating steps 3-6 for each different database.

Note: Your CD account number does not need to match the e-Form RS account number. Profile information imports into the account that the administrator is currently logged into.
